Atlanta: Thrill Tour

Just to take advantage a little of our forced stay, we used our morning to jump into a subway down to the Atlanta downtown. Having not enough time to visit the "historic" district (too far away) we've planned to make a little shopping stop in Downtown... But, saddly, on Sunday morning, everything is deserted, nobody except for some homeless and young bands who roamed around, who didn't seem necessarily friendly.

And walking towards the next subway station, we went by a prison surrounded by the same kind of people. In other words, we didn't feel reassured. We decided to end up quickly our shopping tour and to head back to the airport.

Two more hours of waiting, and off we go!

Histoire de profiter un peu de notre séjour forcé, nous avons mis la matinée à profit pour faire un saut en métro jusqu'au centre ville d'Atlanta. Etant un peu trop juste pour visiter la banlieue "historique" nous avions prévu de faire un peu de shopping au niveau du Downtown... Et on a un peu regretté : dimanche matin, tout était désert, personne à part quelques clochards et des bandes de jeunes qui trainaient, l'air pas forcément amicaux.

Et en essayant de rejoindre la station de métro suivante à pieds, nous somme passé près d'une prison environnée d'une faune tout aussi colorée. Autant dire que nous n'avons pas fait les malins, et rapidement mis un terme à nos projets de shopping pour filer à l'aéroport attendre notre avion.

Encore 2 heures d'attente, et nous devrions pouvoir embarquer !
